My 3-year-old granddaughter absolutely loved this and wasn't even interested in opening her other Christmas presents! She's excited to use it this summer when she goes camping with her Dad and they can look at leaves, bugs, and whatever else they find. It's the perfect size for her and the storage compartment in the bottom is a great feature.
